a little more about us

Hiya! How ya doing? We decided to kick off our blog by writing briefly about ourselves and our story.

Will and I met my sophomore year of college. Neither of us was looking for a relationship, yet our mutual friend still decided to set us up (shout out to Abi). On our first date, Will asked me to have a picnic with him on a boat — but I hated boats. In fact, I was (still am) deathly terrified of them. Like, irrationally terrified. Yet something in me told me to say yes. I must have been crazy.

Will and I spent a few hours on the boat — yes we survived — before we wandered around downtown Cincinnati for the rest of the day. It was clear to both of us that we were hitting it off, and we liked each other. A lot. The craziest thing of the day, though? Our night ended with us seeing a comet. It all made for the perfect Hallmark movie.

Flash forward a few years to when Will and I stood at the altar on a warm June day in Crested Butte, Colorado, at the most perfect venue (Mountain Wedding Garden) saying “I do.” Our entire relationship has been a God-thing, and we now have the immense blessing of spending the rest of our days together.

Both of us work full time and currently live in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Will is a videographer for USA Swimming, and I am a copywriter and editor for a medical company. Despite our work, we both LOVE capturing other people’s stories through photo and video. There is nothing like it. We are incredibly lucky, and we wouldn’t be able to do it without every single person who has trusted us to capture some of their most special moments — thank you!
