Colorful Fall Proposal at Garden of the Gods, Colorado

Nick and MaKayla’s colorful fall proposal and engagement session at Garden of the Gods (Colorado Springs, Colorado) was a joy to capture. The vivid fall colors, the moody rain, and the sun peeking through the clouds all made for a beautiful and cinematic fall morning.

We started the engagement session in the park itself. Nick and MaKayla — visiting from out of town — walked around Garden of the Gods, taking in the beautiful scenery. Unknown to MaKayla, though, was the fact that Nick was about to propose. Nick asked us if we could take a picture of the two of them, and then he popped the question. Seeing the surprise and joy on MaKayla’s face was priceless — the love these two have for one another is so evident! Garden of the Gods truly made for the perfect backdrop.

After the proposal, we then drove around Garden of the Gods to capture more engagement photos. At this point, the sun started peeking through the clouds and created the most beautiful glow. The park gave us so many beautiful backdrops for photos — it was the most perfect morning. Garden of the Gods is definitely one of the best engagement spots in Colorado Springs!
